Basement Remodel

The original basement was untouched when I first saw it. It was a dreary, empty space that was unsuitable even for storage.  The basement had standing water on the floor, water marks that stained the cement block walls and painted cement floors that were peeling.  In addition to dealing with the water problem, I designed a floor plan that worked around existing duct work and cast iron piping for the sewer.  As part of the design process, it was necessary to make space for venting, wiring, and plumbing, too.  Here is the result:  a creative, bright,  highly functional space that the owners love.
